The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able remove pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium-pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to identify your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the most highly-rated robots. It offers impressive cleaning power and a variety of features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is in place you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can opt for a general clean that prioritizes cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure your entire home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vac performs well on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models, and it can even remove pet hair with ease. It does have a hard time with plush or high-pile carpet, however iRobot says it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that uses an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug the furniture and walls. It's a step up from the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be just marginally superior to circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior of your home. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like staircases and other barriers, and to tidy up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundary markers, so it is aware of areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it is about robots that combine vacuuming and mopping the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vac settings are as effective as those on more expensive models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only downside is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if want to get one of the best budget robot vacuum with mop robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

As for the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the higher-powered ones create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move away when it encounters one.

What distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for human intervention. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app is capable of alerting you when something is in need of attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.

You can also create or merge actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo treats your home. This feature is beneficial if you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like clothes, toys and books. The robo-vac was also one of the top performers in my test cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. 3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

This model is also more efficient than the X1 version, since it charges faster and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

Additionally lastly, the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app and a voice assistant that works offline, so you can manage it even when away from home. It also comes with more mopping options and a smart routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a set route.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best budget mopping robot mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does an excellent job. It has a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of convenience features that you do not often find on robots at this price. It can create precise floor maps and recognize various flooring types. It's also among the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great, but they also place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

Created to resemble a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine has a large bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front panel, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top, you'll find a single button that essentially acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and return it to its base station. This helps the robot mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors, and removing all but stubborn juice staining. The mops are also efficient, clearing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
